Injection molding is a widely used manufacturing process in which molten plastic is injected into a mold cavity under high pressure. The process allows for the efficient and precise production of complex plastic parts with consistent quality and high repeatability. Injection Molding Process

Consists of several key stages

Melting the Plastic

The process starts with feeding plastic pellets or granules into a heated barrel of an injection molding machine. Inside the barrel, the plastic is heated and melted into a molten state, ready for injection.

Ejecting the Part

Once the plastic has solidified, the mold opens, and the finished part is ejected from the mold cavity using ejector pins or other mechanisms.

Injecting the Molten Plastic

Once the plastic has reached the desired melt temperature, a screw or plunger forces the molten plastic into a mold cavity through a nozzle. The mold is a precision-made tool with a negative impression of the final product's shape.

Recycling and Reuse

Any excess or scrap plastic generated during the injection molding process can be recycled and reused to minimize waste.

Cooling and Solidification

After the molten plastic fills the mold cavity, it is left to cool and solidify under controlled conditions. Cooling time is optimized to achieve the right balance between cycle time and part quality.
